User Instruction Template

This section is intended for Administrators to copy, edit, and then distribute to your users

What is it?

This new tab is a template to be used when you are using a manufacturer’s on-line quoting tool (e.g. for cloud-hosted solutions).  This will enable you to use our manufacturer’s on-line tools but still provide a proposal to the customer that has our branding and communicates the other solutions we offer along with any wrap around services we provide, including:

Getting Started

You can now insert manufacturer quote/proposal files into our proposals.  This provides more of our branding and allows us to provide customers with additional information and offers.  We have a customized Tab within SDA that will make the steps super easy.

Using the Tab

The tab has already been pre-populated with the documents we will be using for <name of manufacturer> proposals.  All you need to do is add the <name of manufacturer> quote file into the outline.  To do this:

  1. Select the row that says < insert Embedded Mfr Proposal File here >
  2. Insert the manufacturer quote/proposal file into the outline
    • PDF – If the file is a PDF file…
      • Go to Add-Ins >> Insert >> PDF File
      • Choose “Browse and copy to Quote location”. This saves the browsed for file to the same location as the SDA Quote file
    • Word Doc: If the file is a Word document….
      • Go to Add-Ins >> Insert >> Doc Section
      • Choose “Browse and copy to Quote location”. This saves the browsed for file to the same location as the SDA Quote file
  3. The file/document will be brought into the outline. Upon generating the proposal, this section will be generated in the order that it appears in the outline.
