Create a Multi-Quote Summary Table in Word

Users are able to consolidate variables across multiple quote files by:

Users can also push quote file-specific variables to a table in the primary quote file that can in turn be pushed to a Word output. Users can also push quote file-specific variables to a table in an Excel output.

Use this feature to create a table that summarizes the site name and total sell price for each site.

Quote file-specific variables can be pushed to the primary quote file by defining variables as a MultiRow variable type in the Multi Quote Variables table.

This enables a single SourceVariable and TargetRange for a multi-row table, and that table will automatically fill in all subsequent (unprotected) rows in the table for a multi-quote output, with one row for each quote file.

This functionality makes it easy to create tables that summarize data across multiple quote files for multi-quote outputs. After setting up the first row of a table with the required target named ranges, simply insert enough rows (with unprotected cells in the columns where the target named ranges are located) to accommodate the maximum number of quote files that users might consolidate into a multi-quote output.

To consolidate the site name and total sell price for each site into a table in the primary quote file, the AM might:

Create a table of cells on any SDA tab (perhaps a Multi-Site Summary tab that users bring into the primary quote file) with:

For a 3-site proposal, only the first three data rows will be pushed to the Word output because the rest of the data rows have blank values in the first column.
